Inteplast is dedicated to our commitment to help preserve the environment.

All of our products are designed to be produced at low gauges and yet remain strong, minimizing the waste and quantity of raw materials used in the production process.

Inteplast is proud to say that all of our products are 100% recyclable. Additionally, all products are made from chemically stable, non-leaching materials that will not affect groundwater sources or create air pollution.

The World of Bags, our Integrated Bagging Systems division of Inteplast, has developed a full line of environmental programs to suit any need; including full service recycling programs, compostable bags, and a wide selection of reusable bags.

The solutions that follow are second to none, and Inteplast is the only plastic manufacturer that can provide for all of them.

Recycling and Reduction

Inteplast had a plan from the very beginning.

We made sure that all of our manufacturing plants had separate reclaim lines to re-process internally generated scrap.

On-site Recycle programs currently include:

  • Corrugated and Paper Cores
  • Fluorescent Bulbs
  • Computers/Electronics
  • Waste Oil
  • Metals
  • Old Tires
  • Paper
  • Old Road Base Material

Plastic Bag Recycling

We believe from both an environmental and financial standpoint, the recycling of plastic bags proves to be the most eff ective way to combat their environmental impact.

Across the US and Canada, Inteplast created strategic alliances with recycling companies to collect and recycle plastic bags.

In our Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada plant, we make new plastic bags and construction materials from old bags.

We are working on programs that will reduce plastic bag use in grocery and retail stores. We train store personnel to use the bags more efficiently, and are developing new products with greater capacity, thus reducing overall volume used.

Inteplast continues to search out and implement new ideas that lower the amount of plastic bags ending up in landfills.
