Pitt Plastics Wins Second-Place in Local Corporate Challenge

Pitt Plastics of Pittsburg, KS participated in the city’s annual Parks and Recreation Corporate Challenge held this past August 4–7. Over 70 employees put on company tie-dye shirts and represented Pitt at the 20 events, which included a mile walk/run, golf, bowling, dodgeball, egg toss, obstacle course, horseshoes, and water-balloon volleyball. Pitt competed against 12 other companies in the community to take home second-place and was awarded a plaque to hang up in the office.

The Corporate Challenge started 13 years ago and Pitt has been a part of the event since the beginning. This is a great event that promotes team building, communication skills, company spirit and pride, and friendly competition and camaraderie among the other companies in our community. On the fourth and final night of the challenge, all the different companies celebrate a potluck dinner together and the awards are presented.

A great time was had by all who participated and those who showed up to cheer for Team Pitt Plastics on the sideline. We are already looking forward to participating in next years’ challenge with the goal of tak- ing the traveling trophy home to Pitt Plastics!
